Hunter Bown

Hunter Bown, a native of Houma, Louisiana, is the Associate Director of Bands at Timber Creek High School in Keller, TX. The Timber Creek Falcon Band is a Bands of America regional finalist and has been a consistent UIL Area finalist since the school opened in 2009.

Hunter Bown graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, where he proudly served as the Drum Major of the Green Brigade. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Music Education from Southern Methodist University.

An advocate for advancing the marching arts, he founded the Marching Arts Forum at UNT. The group has since grown to include multiple collegiate chapters, and its first annual convention was featured on FloMarching. Bown is a lifelong fan of the drum corps activity and treasures his time as Drum Major of Crossmen in 2012 and as Drum Major of DCI World Champions Carolina Crown from 2013 to 2015.
