Jason Robb is currently the Director of Bands at Rouse High School in Leander, Texas. He received his Bachelors of Music in Education and Trumpet Performance from Sam Houston State University under Matthew McInturf, Alfredo Velez, and Randal Adams.
Before assuming his position at Rouse, he held the position as Associate Director at Cedar Park High School in Cedar Park, Texas and at Knox Junior High School in The Woodlands, Texas. While at Cedar Park, the Timberwolf Marching Band won the UIL State Championship in 2016 and earned the Silver Medal at the UIL State Contest in 2013. In 2017 the Rouse Band advanced to the Texas State Marching Contest for the first time in school history, advancing to finals and placing 9thoverall. In 2018, the Rouse Band was named the Bands of America Super Regional AA Class Champion. In 2017, Mr. Robb was honored by Alpha chapter of Phi Beta Mu as the “Texas Young Bandmaster of the Year.”
Mr. Robb currently also serves as a leadership facilitator with the SASi Leadership Company. He spends his summers presenting leadership training to students all over the country. Jason has also been very actively involved in the Drum Corps activity. He marched Mellophone with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps from Madison, Wisconsin and then served as a brass faculty member for the Scouts from 2008 to 2014.
Mr. Robb is an active clinician and consultant, he coordinaties marching productions and writes drill for band programs across the country through his company J•Robb Designs. His professional affiliations include Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and the International Trumpet Guild. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Jackie and their son joseph, who serve as the constant inspiration in his life for his work in education.
